ISGW Quran Competion Winner

Last Saturday, many of our students competed in the Quran Competition at ISGW. Yousuf Mohammed (grade 1) won first place for memorizing Surah Al-Fajr beating out 40 other participants. Congratulations, Yousuf!

The Arabic department will be having an exciting Arabic event next week from February 13-16. This event will be about the different colors to let students appreciate them, as well as practice their Arabic skills.

Successful Book Fair

Students enjoyed a week of fun and excitement during the book fair. Students had multiple opportunities to read and have access to books. This event was made possible through the hard work of Salma Guenoun. We thank her for all the work she did in preparation for the week and during the book fair. We would also like to thank the following volunteers for making themselves available to support this program: Randa Kasmieh, Marla Laddaoui, Naureen Mallick, Laila Mhirig, and Aisha Siddiqua.

Thank you parents for supporting this literacy program through purchasing books.

Report Cards

Daycare open during Feb. Vacation

Looking for childcare during the February vacation? Alhuda Academy Daycare will be open to children of all ages. 7:30am-5:30pm, rate for school-age children is $5/hour. Feb. 6 Chuck E. Cheese’s FUNdraiser

We will be having our exciting and fun Chuck E. Cheese’s FUNdraiser party on Monday, February 6th. The event will run from 3pm to 9pm to cater to different peoples dining/family schedules. Please feel free to come when you prefer but please attend! Invite your friends and family. It allows us to enjoy each other’s company in a fun, relaxed, social, and non-academic setting!

Alhuda will receive 15% of the total submitted receipts.

On the day of the event after you purchase food and tokens please be sure to give your receipt (or copy) to the cashier and state that this is for Alhuda Academy fundraiser. Additionally during your time at Chuck E. Cheese’s, please purchase all game tokens from the front cashier so that these receipts are also submitted towards the Alhuda Fundraiser.

Infection Prevention Presentations

Given the flu and winter sicknesses season, on February 8, students will attend a presentation here at school about infection prevention given by a registered nurse from the Division of Public Health in Worcester.
