Quarter 4 Exams Canceled

Due to standardized testing, as well as regular ongoing assessments, we have decided to cancel the quarter exams for the middle school students for the fourth quarter.

Classes, learning, and regular exams will still take place even after the CAT’s.

Order your Science Poetry Contest Book of Winners

This year’s MA Science Poetry Contest Book of Winners is now available to be ordered. They are in the process of laying the book out at the printers and it will be ready in the early fall. If you would like to order a book please fill out the attached order form and return it by Friday, June 1^st. The cost of each book is $20. Even if your child did not win in this year’s science poetry contest, we encourage you to buy the book to support your friends and peers; the student work that will be in these books is simply amazing!

After School Sports Program Canceled

The after school sports and fitness program is canceled due to scheduling conflicts with Br. Fazal Alam. We are working on starting an after school program led by Ms. Woods for next year. More details to follow.

Bancroft Visit

About 55 people visited us from Bancroft School last Wednesday. Allah (SWT) blessed this event and made it an opportunity for others to learn about Islam and Muslims through us. We ask Allah (SWT) to grow the seeds we planted in our visitors’ hearts, and to reward all who sent artifacts, cooked, participated, set up, cleaned up, or made Duaa’. We would like to especially thank the following people for their help and support- Noera Alam, Alaa’ Eldam, Naureen Mallick, and Tasneem Zawahreh. Our special Duaa’ to Imam Suhaib Webb who shared his wise words with the visitors.

Lost and Found

We have collected many items in the lost and found bin. Please check the lost and found selection in the entrance hall for any items your child might have misplaced throughout the year. All unclaimed items will be disposed of after school closes.

We celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week last week. We would like to thank parents who cooked lunch and provided breakfast and desserts for the teachers. We also wish to thank PTO members and the parent volunteers for taking the time to supervise the students during lunchtime so that the teachers can enjoy lunch together.

Although last Tuesday was the designated day for teacher tributes, it is never too late to show your appreciation for your child’s teacher(s). Thank you again for your support.
