- Eat Breakfast:
Breakfast is a crucial part of every child’s day. It affects everything from memory to creativity in the classroom and has been extensively linked to better academic performance. Children who go to school hungry are more inclined to become distracted from learning at school… A healthy, well-rounded breakfast is best for a child’s maximum performance level. - Pack a Snack:
Also be reminded that Alhuda Academy has a daily snack time during the mid-morning, throughout the school. It is important that your child(ren) bring their snack to school every day and that we recommend healthy items such as sliced fruit, granola bars (no nuts), cheese sticks, yogurt, home baked items and so on. Students who do not bring snack to school are sent to the office to purchase a snack from school Bake Sale reserves.
- Bring Lunch:
It is also vital that children bring lunch every day and that, if lunch is forgotten at home, parents make every effort to deliver lunch before 12:00 noon that same day. Alhuda Academy has a Hot Lunch program, provided by Golden Pita restaurant and we have recently announced delicious and nutritious changes/additions to the menu. If you have not previously considered ordering from the Hot Lunch program, why not give it a try? Students who do not have a lunch with them will be sent to the office to purchase items from Bake Sale reserves.
- Friday Bake Sale:
Alhuda would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about Bake Sale Fridays. Our school Bake Sale is an exciting moment for students to come to the office and make selections from healthy and nutritious items. We kindly remind parents to please participate when it is your child’s classroom’s turn – and to send healthy and nutritious items (no nuts) per guidelines in the weekly reminder.
