Next Week: Yellow & Green

Mar 4th, 2010 | By principal | Category: Events

The Arabic department will be having an exciting Arabic event next week from MARCH 8-12. This event will be about the colors YELLOW and GREEN to revive school spirit and spice up the learning during this long month.

Monday and Tuesday, March 8 & 9, YELLOW.

Wednesday and Thursday, March 10 & 11, GREEN.

Friday, March 12, students can wear FAVORTIE colors.

Monday through Thursday, students from PreK1 to Grade 8 need to wear anything of the mentioned color, such as hats, pants, dresses, shirts, skirts, shoes, etc.

Students also need to bring to school anything that contains the color of that day such as fruits, juice, flowers, pictures, birds, fish, insects, trees, plants, flags, sweets, food, etc.

Students will go to different classes and read Arabic stories or share the object they brought with them throughout the days.

In addition, students from grades 2 to 8 will be asked to write a description in Arabic of the colored item they bring with them.

The Arabic department also needs parent volunteers to participate by bringing something yellow or green, depending on the day, and explaining in Arabic about the objects they brought in.

Volunteers can also read Arabic stories provided by the school to the students.

We thank Mrs. Hammad and the Arabic department for initiating this program.

To volunteer or if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hammad at 508-854-4700.
