In preparation for the Book Fair, students have been reading and accumulating reading minutes towards the “Chow Down on Reading” classroom reading competition. They have submitted the bookmark designs for the bookmark competition. Students have also been designing accessories to go along with the Book Fair theme ” Book Fair Diner”. They have been decorating the classrooms in preparation for tomorrow’s competition for the best decorated classroom.
It has been a very exciting week! But the excitement will reach its highest level next week when students will get to visit the Book Fair and browse through the books on a daily basis.
As indicated in the flyer, next week students will be busy reading, checking out books, buying books, and doing a variety of activities. Please keep in mind the following days:
Wednesday: Parents are invited to a breakfast sponsored by PTO and are welcome to browse the Book Fair.
Thursday: Students will dress up in their favorite outfits (chefs, waiters, foods…). Please help them accessorize ahead of time.
Friday: You are invited to an ice cream social from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Because it is a half day, you need to pick up your child at 12:00 and come back after Jumua.
