Reading Alhuda Email?
Oct 15th, 2009 | By principal | Category: NewsBefore the Curriculum Night event we sent you two notices in the last two Couriers asking you not to bring your children with you to this event. Unfortunately, on that specified night, almost all parents showed up with their children and sometimes with other community children as well.
This lead me to wonder if you are reading our notices. It is clear to me that if parents had read our request, they would have complied with it. So are you reading our email notices? If yes, email back and write “YES” in the subject line. This will give us an idea how many you are and if we need to work on adjusting our communication strategy.
Please take a minute to reply. We’re counting on you.
And by the way, the reason we don’t want children during parent events is because children end up in an unsupervised situation. With the large number of additional children coming from the center, the event may become chaotic and even unsafe. Last year, Alhuda library was trashed during the Curriuclum Night event. Students and their community friends were running around in the school taking many plates of food at a time while we were trying to keep the event organized.
As a school, we want to always be prepared for our students when they are in our building. When we know we will not be able to focus on them because of the type of event we have, we kindly ask you to find an alternative for them. Please help us be an organized and thoughtful school and community.
And don’t forget to email back with “YES”.
